AR-10 .22 Creedmoor Custom Barrel
We make this AR-10 barrel in .22 Creedmoor. Choose the barrel steel, twist, length, profile and finish from the options on this page.
Why .22 Creedmoor?
.22 Creedmoor uses .22-caliber bullets in a Creedmoor-family cartridge case. It’s known as a high-velocity small-bore option, often discussed for varmint and specialized target shooting.
The name doesn’t mean it uses .223 Remington or .22-250 ammunition. Those are separate chamberings, and the complete rifle’s components still have to suit the .22 Creedmoor.
Customize Your AR-10 Barrel
- Barrel steel and twist: Chrome-moly 1:7 or stainless 1:7, 1:8 or 1:9.
- Length and muzzle: Choose from the barrel lengths, crowns and other muzzle choices shown for this configuration.
- Gas system: See the available gas-system lengths and optional gas tubes.
- Profile and gas block: Review the barrel profile, gas-block diameter and any compatible fixed or adjustable gas-block choices.
- Finishing: Fluting and appearance options depend on the choices offered for this barrel.
- Other components: Check any matching-bolt selections or related component instructions.
Before You Order
- Confirm your rifle: AR-10-pattern rifles don’t all follow one standard for every component. Check your receiver, bolt-carrier group and other relevant parts.
- Confirm the chamber: Use ammunition appropriate for .22 Creedmoor.
- Review your selections: This barrel is made to your chosen specifications. Make sure you’ve selected the correct options and understand what’s included.
Barrel Options Explained
Chrome-moly and stainless steel: CM means chrome-moly steel, which needs protection against rust. SS means stainless steel, which resists corrosion better but still needs maintenance.
Twist rate: A marking such as 1:8 means the rifling makes one full turn every eight inches. It does not tell you how long the barrel is.
Gas-system length: This product lists pistol-length (about 4 inches), carbine-length (about 7 inches), mid-length (about 9 inches) and rifle-length (about 12 inches). These names describe the nominal gas-system layout, not the overall barrel length or the actual measured length of the tube.
What is a gas tube? The tube carries gas from the barrel’s gas block toward the action in a conventional AR system. It’s a separate part from the barrel and block. The Add Gas Tube? choices are for customers who need that component supplied; the tube must correspond to the gas-system layout.
What is the barrel profile? Light, SOCOM and HBAR refer to different outside contours and amounts of barrel material. Lighter profiles generally reduce weight; heavier profiles have more material. Profile choices also determine which gas-block mounting diameter is offered.
Gas-block size and options: The .750 and .875-inch measurements refer to the outside diameter of the barrel where the gas block fits, not its caliber. The listed gas-block choices include adjustable and non-adjustable styles where available. Choose None if you already have a compatible gas block. Diameter alone doesn’t guarantee full compatibility with every other part.
Muzzle finishes: Target Crown is an unthreaded muzzle finish. This barrel lists 1/2×28 and 5/8×24 as its thread choices; thread specifications must match any compatible muzzle device. Magna Port is a porting-style muzzle option with gas-venting cuts intended to help limit muzzle rise, not a separate screw-on device. Gill Cut is a specialty gill-style muzzle cut; contact us about the current pattern and details rather than assuming it functions like porting or threads.
Fluting and muzzle compatibility: Some muzzle treatments aren’t offered with every fluting pattern. The product choices show which combinations are available.
Barrel extension: The steel component at the rear of the barrel has the surfaces the bolt locks against; it isn’t the gas block.
Fluting and coatings: Fluting adds grooves along the barrel’s exterior. Cerakote and other listed finishes affect appearance and surface protection.

Common Questions About This Barrel
Can I use .223 Remington ammunition in a .22 Creedmoor barrel?
No. A shared bullet diameter doesn’t make cartridges interchangeable. Match ammunition to the chamber marking.
What do the different twist markings mean?
They tell you how far the bullet travels through the rifling for one complete turn. The actual steel/twist combinations are listed in the order choices.
