FN SCAR 17 .375 Raptor Custom Barrel

This FN SCAR 17 barrel is chambered in .375 Raptor. You can choose the steel and twist combination, barrel length, muzzle finish, fluting, and Cerakote color.

Why .375 Raptor?

.375 Raptor uses a .375-inch bullet, but the diameter alone doesn’t tell you what ammunition fits. This is its own cartridge, not another name for .375 H&H or any other .375-caliber round.

It’s a more specialized chambering than .308 Winchester. That means ammunition isn’t as commonly stocked, and it pays to confirm exactly what you’re ordering. For this SCAR 17 barrel, Deadshot builds a new assembly rather than re-barreling an existing FN or Deadshot unit.

Customize your FN SCAR 17 barrel

Here’s what you can choose for this barrel:

  • Barrel steel and twist: Choose chrome-moly (CM) 1:12 or stainless steel (SS) 1:8.
  • Barrel length: 10.5 to 20 inches.
  • Muzzle: Target crown or 5/8×24 threads.
  • Fluting: Choose six-groove, spiral, diamond, or none for a smooth barrel. Some profiles limit fluting choices.
  • Cerakote: Pick a finish color from the swatches shown on the page.
  • Assembly: We build this .375 Raptor barrel as a new Deadshot assembly. Re-barreling an existing FN or Deadshot assembly isn’t offered for this chambering.

Before You Order

  • Check your rifle: This is a .375 Raptor barrel for the FN SCAR 17.
  • Double-check your choices: Barrel steel, length, muzzle finish, fluting, and Cerakote. This is a custom-made order.
  • New-build assembly: This .375 Raptor must be built as a new Deadshot assembly. See below.

Barrel Options Explained

CM and SS: CM is chrome-moly steel, which needs protection from rust. SS is stainless steel. It resists corrosion better but still needs care.

Twist rate: This barrel offers 1:12 and 1:8 twists. The number after the colon tells you how many inches it takes the rifling to make one full turn. It describes the rifling, not the overall barrel length.

Target crown or muzzle threads: A target crown is an unthreaded muzzle finish. The 5/8×24 choice has external threads.

Fluting: Grooves along the outside of the barrel. Select None for a smooth barrel where offered.

Cerakote: A colored protective coating. Choose from the finishes shown above.

What Do the Gas Block and Barrel Extension Do?

Gas block: The gas block is part of the SCAR’s piston operating system. It directs a portion of the gas from a fired round into that system, while the gas regulator controls how the gas is managed.

Barrel extension: This is the steel component at the rear of the barrel where the bolt locks into place. It’s an important part of the completed barrel assembly, not just a mounting piece.

What’s Different About Deadshot’s Gas Block?

Traditional FN SCAR gas-block configurations can include a folding front sight. Our gas block has a cleaner, sleeker shape without that integrated sight, leaving you free to choose your own sight setup.

Our design retains SCAR-style adjustable gas regulation and is made for suppressed and unsuppressed use. We have tested our design with a variety of suppressors. If you have questions about a particular suppressor or handguard, reach out to us before ordering.

New-build SCAR 17 assembly

We build this .375 Raptor barrel as a new Deadshot assembly. We don’t re-barrel an existing FN or Deadshot assembly for this chambering, so there’s no send-in option.

If you need to confirm what components are supplied, ask us before ordering.

What Happens After You Order?

  1. We use the options you selected. If you need to correct anything, contact us as soon as possible.
  2. Allow time for production. The current estimate is 3–8 weeks, not a guaranteed delivery date.
  3. Need an update? Contact us with your order number.

Common Questions About This Barrel

Can I send my existing SCAR assembly for re-barreling?

No. This .375 Raptor is built as a new Deadshot assembly, not a re-barrel of an existing FN or Deadshot assembly.

Can I use other .375-caliber ammunition?

No. A shared bullet diameter doesn’t make different cartridges interchangeable. Use ammunition marked for the .375 Raptor chamber.

What if I need to change my custom order?

Contact us right away with your order number. Changes may not be possible once production starts, and cancellation terms may apply. See our Refund Policy.

Returns and warranty

Shipped barrels are final sale for discretionary returns. A 15% cancellation fee applies after work has started. We evaluate manufacturing-defect concerns under our warranty and address covered issues through an appropriate remedy. See our Refund Policy and Terms of Service.

Important: SCAR Barrel Assemblies

Not included: Gas pistons and gas-regulator knobs. Use compatible FN or aftermarket components.

Do not remove or replace the fitted gas block or barrel extension yourself. If you’re sending us an assembly, leave it intact. Improper removal or modification can damage components and affect safe operation.

If your barrel arrives with a missing or damaged component, don’t use or modify it. Contact us with photos. Damage caused by post-delivery modifications isn’t covered under the manufacturing-defect warranty; unrelated defects and legally required remedies remain covered. Return and warranty policy.
